Upcoming Auctions

Our annual auction of circus, sideshow, and carnival collectibles takes place this May. Highlights include magnificent and rare lithographs for Buffalo Bill, Ringling Brothers, and many European circuses. Ephemera, photos, scrapbooks, and relics from these shows of bygone eras will be complemented by a wide range of carnival rides and amusement park games, sideshow banners and gaffs, and oddities galore. 

Our Contemporary, Fine, Folk, and Outsider Art sale features works from all time periods and categories. Contemporary highlights include works by Hans Hofmann, Woodrow Blagg, Hans Bellmer and Tony Fitzpatrick. In Fine Art we offer works by Samuel A. Kilborne, Louis Kronberg and Samuel Huyghe. In Folk Art we have exceptional early 20th century examples of a monumental battleship, an impressive hook and ladder fire engine, and a later Folk Art Circus complete with many rides, wagons, and concession stands. Rounding out the event with Outsider Art we present many stellar artists such as Elijah Pierce, Lee Godie, Mose Tolliver, Jimmy Lee Sudduth, Minnie Adkins and William Dawson. 

Our fourth sale from Ken Klosterman's fabled "museum down the mineshaft" will be a broad cross-section of conjuring collectibles. In over 500 lots, we will offer "magical woodcraft" in all its forms, chromed apparatus from Conradi and Bartl, stage effects, scarce books, ephemera, and vintage magic posters from the golden age of the art. 

Rare lithographs from iconic Hollywood hits will lead this sale. Also featured is a broad mix of collectibles including comic books, toys, Steiff, Star Wars toys, and Disneyana. The sale will be rounded out with concert posters and records.
